Born and raised in northern NJ, Ashley Wood began her formal training at School of the Garden State Ballet and toured annually with the GSB Youth Company. Upon acceptance into Philadelphia's University of the Arts, she completed four years of schooling under Zane Booker, Manfred Fischbeck, Curt Haworth, Jennifer Johnson, and Brian Sanders to name a few. In 2007, she received her BFA in Modern Dance Performance and awarded "Most Dramatic Improvement Since Freshman Year." Since graduation Ashley has received her certification in children's yoga, became a dancer with the Urmika Devi Dance Collective, and co-founder of Pink Hair Affair. Ashley is currently working as a Behavioral Health Worker, children's yoga instructor, and nanny, as well as in the process of applying to grad school for her Master's in Dance Movement Therapy.
